I feel like the Steam addition to Dota 2 makes it actually comparitivly harder to make friends on Dota 2 then it was on Bnet(the real one, not 0.2) as you could simply communicate with /w to play games with no other attachment. Now with Steam you have to add them to your steam list and theyl know all about you and what you are doing with steam
