I hated Illico TV, but videotron has substantially faster internet, as my area does not have FTTH. The main issue is cost, They are taking advantage of the new tech to raise prices. People warned me against Videotron, I didn't listen and it costed A LOT. Back in 2015, Videotron sold me a “Super Package deal” for mobile phone + Internet that costed 110$ (not great, not terrible, just okay). A brand new iPhone was included with this package as well as a very friendly welcome. I don’t want to change Internet providers, but in a few years when Videotron gets rid of Illico and only Helix is available, I’ll have to. Or pay for two Internet providers, or change TV providers. I encountered a similar trespass event with Videotron in Pointe-claire (island of montreal). I do not have Viseotron service. However, two technicians from a subcontractor of videotron invaded my backyeard on Monday 14th July 2014. They were damaging my hedge and my garden while trying to install a cable through the neighbourhood.
